Right now a lot of people are making their New Year’s Resolution and it can be a great idea when you’re planning to achieve a goal. This year, if you’re planning to feel and look younger longer,
then you should come up with your very own skin care and face care resolutions list. Here are a couple of examples and tips of skin care resolutions that can get your list started.

Clean Your Makeup Kit –

Those things touch your face everyday and it doesn’t bother you? Yes, we’re talking about your brushes. You might not be aware of it, but all the skin oils that build up on your makeup kit, specifically on your brushes, create a breeding ground for bacteria that can easily irritate your skin. Ideally, you should clean your brushes every week. Realistically, however, you should clean your brushes at least once a month with baby shampoo and lukewarm water.

Apply Sunscreen Everyday –

Doctors advise wearing sunscreen daily – even on cloudy days and when staying indoors. The problem is most sunscreen products don’t blend well with day-to-day life when mixed with makeup and other facial products. The solution is to find a product that you feel comfortable using and doesn’t make your face look like it’s melting. A quick tip? Look for the words “sheer” or “non-greasy” on the label.

You might not be aware of it but sleeping in certain positions, especially night after night, results in wrinkles or sleep lines on your face. Love sleeping on your side? That favorite beauty sleep position of yours can lead to wrinkles on your cheeks. Sleeping face down, on the other hand, leaves you with a furrowed brow. Worse, the wrinkles that your sheets, pillow or gravity etch on the top layers of your skin don’t go away when you get up.

The solution? Sleep on your back. Not only is it more relaxing, it will also help you cut down on new wrinkles.
