We all love sunglasses (they’re great accessories that add that all-important sun protection factor into your wardrobe) but it can be really frustrating trying to find the style that’s best for your type of face. There’s an easier way to go about choosing sunglasses though and it starts with knowing the shape of your face.
There are five types of faces: round, square, oval, heart, and oblong; and there are styles of sunglasses that go – and don’t go – with each type of face. Once you learn this, it’s going to be a lot easier choosing the perfect pair of sunglasses.
Are wide at the forehead and narrow at the chin. Sunglasses that go well with this shape are round and oversized lenses. These style of sunglasses removes the illusion of width from your forehead. Cat-eye styles of sunglasses are the most flattering for this kind of face.
Square Shaped Faces –
The strong features (jaws and forehead) of this type of face need to be softened. Choose sunglasses that are either rounder or more angular in shape.

Right now a lot of people are making their New Year’s Resolution and it can be a great idea when you’re planning to achieve a goal. This year, if you’re planning to feel and look younger longer,
then you should come up with your very own skin care and face care resolutions list. Here are a couple of examples and tips of skin care resolutions that can get your list started.
Clean Your Makeup Kit –
Those things touch your face everyday and it doesn’t bother you? Yes, we’re talking about your brushes. You might not be aware of it, but all the skin oils that build up on your makeup kit, specifically on your brushes, create a breeding ground for bacteria that can easily irritate your skin. Ideally, you should clean your brushes every week. Realistically, however, you should clean your brushes at least once a month with baby shampoo and lukewarm water.
Apply Sunscreen Everyday –
Doctors advise wearing sunscreen daily – even on cloudy days and when staying indoors. The problem is most sunscreen products don’t blend well with day-to-day life when mixed with makeup and other facial products. The solution is to find a product that you feel comfortable using and doesn’t make your face look like it’s melting. A quick tip? Look for the words “sheer” or “non-greasy” on the label.

Aging is a natural, but what you might not know is that you have some habits that are harming your skin. Check out these careless ways that you might be contributing to the premature aging of your skin. After all, no amount of anti-aging products can help you out if you aren’t properly taking care of your skin.
Leaving your makeup on –
Yes, you’re tired, but leaving you’re makeup on will not only mess up your sheets, it will also age your skin prematurely. Let your face rest and breathe for the day, by removing your makeup before you go to bed (or, if you can, as soon as you get home). Leave it on overnight, and you’re putting strain on your skin and enlarging the pores. Practicing this simple habit can help keep years off of your face and don’t forget that anti-aging products are even more effective when they aren’t fighting through a layer of makeup.
Ignoring sunscreen –
When you don’t make it a habit to apply sunscreen when you go outdoors, you’re not only aging your skin, you’re also putting yourself at risk for developing skin cancer. Do yourself and your skin a great favor, and make a habit of applying sunscreen, even when it’s cloudy. You might not know it but the right sunscreen is one of the best anti-aging products. You’ll hear us say it over and over again, UV damage is the #1 cause of skin damage.

Surprised how effective the tips from part 1 were in combating old wrinkles, and preventing new ones from forming? Don’t be, because here are 5 more easy steps to help you to keep your skin looking younger and more radiant.
6. Discover the AHAs! –
AHA is a popular word in the skin care and skin ageing industry, but do you know what AHA does? AHAs or Alpha Hydroxy Acids are natural acids that remove the top layer of dead skin cells from your face. There are also stronger types of AHAs that can help your skin boost the production of collagen. These “peeling” effect reduces fine lines, the appearance of pores, and surface wrinkles.
There’s a catch however: applying AHAs can make your skin more sensitive to UV radiation, so wear sunscreen to help fight the harsh effects of the sun.
7. Use Soy –
Soy is another new and surprising ingredient that can help improve your skin’s appearance. There are studies that show that using soy on your face’s skin or taking soy supplements may protect and even, in some cases, heal some of the damage that the sun has done to your skin. Soy has also been known to even out skin tone and improve skin structure and firmness.
